29th November 2006
The Contractor is continuing to undertake the ground works on the hill and to erect the hoarding around the site.
21st November 2006
The Contractor begins construction of the new Clubhouse and over the next two weeks will begin
ground works and erect hoarding around the site. Site huts for construction workers will be
brought on to the site and areas for staff parking and materials storage will be set up on the

18th November 2006
The first sod of the new Clubhouse was cut on 18th November by Dr Claude Field and
Christopher O’Kane, assisted by the Captain, Roy McMonagle

Tender Period (3 Weeks): 8th September - 29th September
Tender Report from QS (1 week): 30th September - 6th October
DC Report to Council: 9th October
Appointment of Contractor: by 14th October

Tender Process
The Tender Package was issued to 6 Contractors on Friday 8th September 2006.
The process now involves a 3 week tender period with the Contractors’ tenders being returned by 29th September. Following tender return, the Quantity Surveyor will prepare a Tender Report, identifying a Preferred Contractor.
The Club will then be in a position to appoint a Contractor and begin site works at the end of October/start of November 2006. The Current Programme, as shown below includes for a 15 month construction period.
Planning Application
The Planning Application for the new clubhouse was submitted in February
2006 by Todd Architects, on behalf of Belvoir Park Golf Club
The Planning Application was approved by Castlereagh Borough Council during
the Council meeting on 25th May 2006.
The Club has received formal confirmation from the Planning Service.
